Qtips sent me some Qtips. i know, it's crazy. but they did. so they were like, share some fun Q-tip ideas. and i was like...ok, here are my ideas.
you could clean betwixt your toes. this is an overly underlooked area for cleaning. and side note, i got my moles checked the other week and the lady looked between my toes to find moles. like, if i had a mole in there, i would have told you. and she checked a lot of other "areas" that i wasn't prepared for and it was embarrassing. so i don't want to talk about it. all you need to know is that i was sweating profusely and also that i was making awkward conversation. and also that she looked IN MY BUTT CHEEKS. {butt}like i said, i don't want to talk about it. pun intended.

another creative idea you could have is to just stain a whole piece a furniture with Qtips. rest assured, no area will be unstained. it will be very thorough. like when doctors do a mole check. or something. awkward.
yes, brilliant ideas. i know. sarcasm oozing.

or you could have your little children paint with the Qtips. that is actually a great idea.
and fun. and lila really did love this.
so now i bring you the crafternoon i did. Monogrammed dish towels. little to no sewing, uhthankyou.
grab some fabric, a plain dishtowel, some heat and bond fabric adhesive, and maybe some needle and thread.

for the letter template...i lit-ra-lee googled "the letter P" and found the font i liked.

then you trace your letters onto the fabric...INVERTED. because you'll flip these over.
then you're going to iron on the adhesive paper backing to the fabric. there will be instructions on your heat and bond. you can find this stuff at walmart or any craft store. it will have instructions on it if you're feeling confused. very easy though.
who can come up with what this acronym means?

cut your letters out. and then peal the backing off.
then iron it onto the dish towel.
you can stitch around the edges.

and there you go. a super cute little gift for the holidays. to give with your cookie dough to go!
i leave you with this. lila ate the paint. what?

you should know that I was provided with Q-tips cotton swabs® and information about the product by RocketXL. All opinions are 100% my own.

this is hilarious, as usual. are all those letters just the first initial of friends/families last names??
ok do we have the same doctor? because i went and had my moles checked a month ago and she was like, "ok, now i'm going to check your buttocks" and before i could say, "who the h says the word buttocks?" she had done it. it was like someone playing peek-a-boo with a baby. except with my rear.
but she was fast, i'll give that to her!
oh my word you make me laugh.. i bet qtips had no idea this is how you were going to share their product! love it... and
Lila really knows how to accessorize -- love those yellow stickers! :)
And I'd choose painting with Qtips over a body-check ANY day!
yes, samantha...do those stickers look familiar?! thanks for those. the kids have loved them. :)
Love the new layoutl. you can ALWAYS make me laugh!
Listening to Dave Barnes' Christmas cd today and it reminded me of your comment a couple posts ago about longing for Jesus-y Christmas songs :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML-kbOoZCsg
Super cute idea! Sorry about the butt check=(
are we guessing the acronyms?!
My guess is:
Mother of Penelope
Nice Christmas Socks :)
And I love your writing, you are right up my ally with your sense of humor!!
stop trying to play! i have that same star on the top of my tree! I got it at pottery barn on clearance for $4 a few years ago.

You're hilarious! Love the towels. And what is the acronym for? Am I retarded and missing something?
haha...no they are just letters of friends names. i was just being stupid and saying guess what it stands for. which is actually just confusing because it means nothing. :)
ha! my doc did the toe check too. no butt check....thank the Lord!
i am doing this one! i know, i say that every time and you think i'm full of shiite. but i really do love it. anyway, today i think i diagnosed myself with adult ADD. hooray for blaming my crafting issues on medical problems!
I wish I was as crafty as you! I'm having the hardest time coming up with gifts for friends this year.
and...
FYI (although I'm sure you already know this) Lila's haircut is just the cutest.
In light of the rest of the post, maybe the letters mean:
My Over-reactive Patient Never Checked Spots :D
hee hee
i know someone who might stain a piece of furniture with a qtip. just sayin.
oh...and also, i just had MY moles checked this week and had a similar experience. Didn't know she would be taking my two week postpartum body to a whole new level....
um hi. i have not read nor written blogs in about two weeks. i will blame it on christmas cheer and swinging hormones. but reading your words make me happy and smile and feel awkward which strangely also makes me happy. is awkward your spiritual gift? like have you been tested? i vote yes. the good Lord has smiled awkward honesty upon you and your innermost parts. ;)
Fun idea. Not sure I have the time to get it done this Christmas, but may try it for friend bday gifts... :)
my kids always eat paint..is that not normal? I got one kid that licks glue and sneaks bites of playdough when I am not looking! Also I love love love your crafternoon! super cute!
cute, of course. everything you do is cuteness. except showing your feet on the internet for all to see. and i have never thought to check between my toes for freckles and moles. who would have thought?
uh wow! how embarrasing. lol i would have died. i loved this post. so funny. and what a good idea painting with qtips. really. i bet noah would love that. love the dish towel idea. you're full of creativity lately! love it!
Well, at least you were on the receiving end and not the looking end of the mole search. That must be a horrible job.
:P
Cute art project! Love it!
I'm going out on a limb and guessing this will be the last time q-tips counts on you for a plug. :)
Love the dishtowels! Well done, my fab friend. Well done.
Wow! Cute idea! These would be the perfect touch for wrapping up baked goods in and giving them as gifts. Totally doing it...
Your blog is really cute and that little Lila and her awesome hair is just the cherry on top!
Um. Nice new photo on the side. I miss you. Let's hang out. With Ricardo too? Just kidding. Maybe I'm NOT. Also, I'm linking to you tomorrow and your neighbors. Watch for it. I want LILA to give me a hug and tell me something.
Cute and fun! Love this idea!

I met you at redeemer last month at a craft night and couldn't figure out how I knew your face. Finally figured out I had been reading your blog after you posted on the handmade home. Weeeird.
My friend told me about your blog- glad she did!

So I totally made the cookie dough to go (except it was the store bought log, shhhhhh) and the dish towels for my sons teacher!! So easy and cute! Of course I didn't take any pictures of it because I waited till the last minute to do it and it was 11 pm when I was done and I just wanted my bed. Thanks for a great idea, I will def be using this again for last minute gifts, love love love! (I even pinned it, holla!!)
